For me, the most vital ingredient in a community is the presence of a vibrant stage for live performance. The magic of the lights in the darkness, the curtain swaying, your eyes and ears absorbing that first chord of music, spoken word or flurry of dance; it is a “once in a lifetime” moment. That is why the Arden Theatre exists.
As we launch our 27th season, we invite you to join us for a journey that promises to intrigue, surprise and delight. We have many destinations to reach and there is something for everyone along the way, from the sun-soaked strains of Danny Michel’s guitar to the irresistible blues of Robert Cray, the supple movement of Margie Gillis, the glorious vocals of Linda Tillery and her choir and a not-to-be-missed evening of Christmas gems with PJ Perry and friends.
A big thank you extends to Brenda Heatherington and The Arden team for their dedication, imagination, and hard work putting this incredible season together.
I am humbled to have been invited to take up the reigns here in St. Albert, to contribute to The Arden’s proud legacy and to become a part of this special community.
