Early exposure to the arts
makes a difference!

Studies have shown that children active in the arts at an early age develop analytical and problem-solving skills and perform better on standardized tests, which can help give them an advantage in the classroom.

  • Early exposure to arts promotes activity in the brain
  • The arts nurture creativity and inventiveness
  • The arts help to engage children and develop self-esteem

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” –Albert Einstein

“Every child is an artist. The problem is to remain an artist once he grows up.”
–Pablo Picasso

“The possible’s slow fuse is lit by the imagination.” –Emily Dickinson

By day, Jon Olbey (aka Jonny O) is a mild-mannered illustrator and graphic designer in Edmonton, Alberta.

But by night, he tears up the pavement as a skateboarding musician with a record and comic book collection the size of a mid-range mountain. His favourite colour is green.

See more of Jon’s work at ocelotillustration.com.
