Featuring a cast of 100 little characters, Mermaid Theatre’s four puppeteers explore the magical, whimsical, imaginative, wondrous and always enchanting world of Leo Lionni. Step inside the pages of these award-winning fables and encounter a forest of seaweeds growing from sugar-candy rocks, a chatty family of 36 field mice and a jungle where 10 foot tall flamingos roam.
Using innovative techniques, shadows projected in vibrant colours and larger-than-life puppets, Mermaid Theatre fuses sight, sound and spirit in a “no-shushing” environment where kids are free to laugh, interact and read along with the narrator.
